Clubhouse redevelopment
Our clubhouse was built almost 90 years ago and has served Milford well. However, it is gradually subsiding and is not seismically safe by today’s standards. Engineers endeavoured to come up with a suitable repair programme, but it is uneconomic to repair; it must be replaced. To this end, the committee with Warren Payne (club member) of Ashton Mitchell, architects has designed a wonderful new clubhouse for all members and the wider Milford community to enjoy for many years into the future. This will be built on the land between the Top and Bottom courts, providing viewing of all 6 courts and Lake Pupuke.
Once the new clubhouse is ready for use, the existing clubhouse will be demolished.

An exciting prospect indeed!
We have made great progress viz:
- a new 30 year lease from Auckland Council.
- Resource Consent & Building Consent granted.
- Funding from Auckland Council, Youthtown and Foundation North (formerly ASB Trust)
- Lots of successful fundraising events (see below) - Dinner Dances, Quiz Nights, A Givealittle Campaign, Movie Nights......
- Bond Offer August 2018 raised $280,000 from 14 generous club investors.
On November 21, 2018 the Club entered into a contract with Senior Construction Ltd. Boyd Senior is a Club Member and will commence work on site 14 Jan 2019. The build is expected to take 5 months.
During the construction phase, all courts will be in use, but access to the bottom courts will be via the side gate. The site will be fenced off but please ensure all children are supervised at all times and keep away from the construction site.
